Walk and Talk

Broxtowe Walk and Talk offer regular short walks in the Broxtowe Borough, they have their own website - www.broxtowe-walkandtalk.com. This has details of their walks and they give you the chance to improve your health, make new friends and get to know the local environment. The walks are free, and thete is no need to book, everyone is welcome. Broxtowe Ramblers members may like to join the Walk and Talk programme; Walk and Talk participants are most welcome on our Broxtowe Ramblers walks.

Two trained leaders will be present during the walks. One will lead the walk and the other will follow at the rear of the group.

You will need to complete a brief registration form before your first walk. On subsequent walks you will need to sign the register. To allow time for this please arrive a few minutes before the start of the walk.

Dress sensibly for the weather and wear appropriate footwear for the conditions, bring a bottle of water especially in warmer weather.

Smoking is not allowed on the walks.  Dogs are not allowed, with the exception of guide dogs.

If you have any health concerns then please check with your doctor before taking part and please bring any medication you may need.

Children under 18 need to be accompanied by an adult.

All walkers are welcome to join the group for refreshments following the walk.

Walk and Talk is a partnership of local organisations and individuals who aim to promote walking for health and enjoyment. 

Walk and Talk Holidays

Broxtowe Walk and Talk also organise holidays for interested people. The organiser is Malcolm Langham and his contact number is  07950 687497. 

The 5 day coach trips that have been organised by Walk and Talk are tabulated below. There are always walks organised on an informal basis and lead by participants on the holiday. These vary in length but there are usually 2 walks put on per day, often a short walk of about 5 miles and a longer one which could be between 8 and 10 miles, depending on leaders available and interest shown.
