Broxtowe Ramblers

Nottingham Area

About our walks programme

We publish our walks programme three times a year. The programme is available on this website, the programme is emailed to members and members receive a printed programme if they require it. Some programmes can be found at libraries and leisure centres in Broxtowe area.

We have walks on Wednesdays; these tend to be at a more leisurely pace with a refreshment stop, these walks can be shorter (5-7 miles) or longer 8-10 miles. There can be a choice of walks midweek although this depends on availability of walk leaders.

We also have weekend walks on Sundays; these tend to be at a more brisk pace, involve some steep ascents and to be about 10 miles in length.

There is a coach walk organised in the summer months. Members can also attend walks organised by other groups and walks organised by Nottingham walking partnership.

On all our walks we visit a variety of areas: Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

All our walks appear on this website, Nottingham Area website and the national Ramblers website via walk finder, if a walk is cancelled e.g. due to weather conditions then this website should display a message to this effect.

Please remember that the club is run by volunteers and all leaders are volunteers; please respect this. What we offer depends entirely on volunteers efforts. We are always looking for more walk leaders; please give it a go!
