About our walks programme

Our walks for the Summer months May through to the end of August now available - take a look!

Our walks programme is published three times per year. We are moving away from printed programmes due to the cost of printing and postage and it is preferred if members access the walks programme electronically.  Some programmes can be found at libraries and leisure centres in Broxtowe area.

We have walks on Wednesdays; these tend to be at a more leisurely pace with a refreshment stop, these walks can be shorter (5-7 miles) or longer 8-10 miles. There can be a choice of walks midweek although this depends on availability of walk leaders.

We also have weekend walks on Sundays; these tend to be at a more brisk pace, involve some steep ascents and to be about 10 miles in length.

There are train walks and coach walks organised.

On all our walks we visit a variety of areas: Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

All our walks appear on the Group walks manager on this website and the main Ramblers website, if a walk is cancelled e.g. due to weather conditions then this website should display a message to this effect.

Please remember that the club is run by volunteers and all leaders are volunteers; please respect this. We are always looking for more walk leaders; please give it a go!
